Demo boats are back at the 2019 NMEA / RTCM Conference!

The demo boat docks are located within a quick walk from the hotel at the High Street landing (see map below).

All conference attendees need to set up demo boat rides with the specific manufacturer(s). Attendees can sign up a specific time by emailing the demo boat company contacts below, or by stopping by the manufacturer(s) booths during the expo hours on Tuesday or Wednesday. There are four NMEA Manufacturer companies who will be bringing demo boats to the 2019 Conference.

On Wednesday afternoon from 1-6pm, conference attendees get an extra bonus of being able to tour a new 155 foot U.S Coast Guard Fast Response Cutter!  Registration for the coast guard cutter tours only can be done by calling NMEA at 410-975-9425 or emailing info@nmea.org

Manufacturer Demo Boat Information

Manufacturer demonstration boats have become an important part of the NMEA Conference in recent years.  As NMEA strives to improve the conference, and plan future conferences, we will place an important focus on contracting hotel venues that have marinas on site that can accommodate manufacturer demo boats.  If the NMEA Conference location does not have a marina within close walking distance to the hotel, there will not be demo boats offered that year.

The details below intend to make the demo boats more accessible for both the manufacturers (boat owners) and conference attendees that will be taking demonstration rides.

•    Any exhibiting manufacturer at the NMEA Conference is allowed to bring in up to 2 demonstration boats.

•    NMEA will cover the overnight dockage costs for each vessel(s)

•    The maximum size for each demo vessel is 40 feet.

•    The demo boat operating hours will not overlap with exhibit hours (see times below).

•    The time periods for the demo boats will include day and night hours to better allow for radar, night vision, and underwater light demonstrations.

•    Manufacturers are responsible for arranging and scheduling their own demo boat rides within the time frames listed below:
o    Tuesday morning from 7AM to 12 PM
o    Tuesday evening from 7PM to 10PM

o    Wednesday morning 7AM to 12 PM
o    Wednesday evening from 7PM to 10PM

o    Thursday from 7AM to 12PM
